The Outs | State of the Union

I know that I’ve been on the outs lately,  but I’ve been busy. With moving to a new place, working at a new place, hanging with friends, family and to be honest,.. I’ve been lazy about sharing online. Anyways,  I recently discovered this well done web-series called “The Outs“. The writing, production and the acting is so T!

Here is the first episode. Enjoy!

The Outs: State of the Union from The Outs on Vimeo.

Update: since we hit $20,000 on our Kickstarter campaign, we’ll be making a special seventh episode: The Outs Chanukah Special!

All six episodes of the show have been crowd-funded through two successful Kickstarter campaigns (here and here) – this means that regular humans saw the show and liked it enough to help us make more of it! If you’d like to contribute to the show but you missed our campaigns, no problem: click here! (And thanks!)

The Outs is written, produced, and edited in Brooklyn, NY.

The Outs relies as much as possible on local businesses and almost entirely on local artists: we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with excellent musicians Beauty Feast, Akudama, Strange Shapes, Ava Luna, Richard Vagnino, Spencerworld and Chris Rubeo – and the list is growing.

The Outs is always looking for talented folks to help make the show happen – e-mail if you’d like to join us on set, recommend a band, offer feedback, or talk about the future of the project.

Click here for information about our cast and crew.

For information on the music used in the show, check here.

The best way to keep up with the show is by following us on Facebook.

P.S. A special thank you to all who have continued to keep me in your thoughts and have been connecting with me over my online/podcast/blogging hiatus and procrastination (: Also, Thumbs up for Obama’s re-election :)

Memorial Gay

It is Memorial Day weekend. An American holiday to acknowledge and pay respect to those who served America by becoming defenders and warriors of the nation. Be it national, political and/or personal… Battles wide and local are fought everyday. It is in the doing that courage is merited. I still remember those Willing Warriors who took action and inspired. Where Gays Gather

I swam into this funny short film,, while surfing the 15th Seattle Gay & Lesbian Online Film Festival. There are plenty of seamen in the sea. Here’s a little nibble…

As many of you know, Ragan Fox is one of my favorite queercasters. His podcast, Fox and the City, is hysterically provocative and full of insightful queer commentary. It’s sure to tickle, offend and make you think twice. Anyway, our self proclaimed “Power Bottom” will be spending the summer in the Big Brother house. Even though Ragan has dropped hints about it on his podcast and on Madge Weinstein’s Yeast Radio, I was so surprised and exited to find out that he’s on season 12 of the Big Brother show. Ragan’s a strong contender to win. He’s intelligent, funny and will be sure to represent. It’s going to be a Foxy Summer! Ragan runs BB!!!

Check out Ragan in the bottom left corner of this Big Brother cast photo. Staying true to his title as America’s Next Power Bottom. lol
