I had a chat with my friend AndyNotAndrew and he told me about this “crazy girl” that’s causing people to make other stuff based on the (in my, opinion disrespectful) incident. There is no spoon full of sugar in this unedited vid.
Carl and I were bored tonight, so we recorded our video chat between Sydney and New York whilst we played with all the built in effects. For fun, I decided to edit it into something, when The Habenara (from Carmen) came on my iTunes playlist (shuffle). I’m amused how Carl’s actions actually fit the music haha! Enjoy! ~ LCF
My friends Carl and LCF had a video iChat last night. Imagine all the stuff we do when they’re not bored. lol
I recently am in the middle of switching my internet service from Earthink DSL to combine my AT&T landline with it’s internet service package. It sounded like a good deal and I was saving $30 a month by doing it.
Unfortunately the dumb ass service person screwed it all up. He told me that I would receive the installation package software on last Monday and that my new internet service would be ready on Wednesday…
Monday passes:.. No new modem or installation package arrives.
Tuesday: I loose my internet connection
Wednesday: On the phone for 3 hours and was transfered to 3 different departments to figure out what the hell was happened.
1) The sales person never mailed out the installation software.
2) He was wrong when he told me that I could use my current modem and phone filters from Earthlink.
3) Now I have to wait till next Monday for all that shit to arrive.
Luckily one of my neighbors is letting me use their linksys but I don’t want to use it, too much. So no photo, audio and video uploading till I get my own connection. I spent most of Thursday all teary eyed over watching net-videos on the horrid things that are going on to the people of Burma and watching the riots and killings of over 30 Buddhists Monks who protested the Chinese government to free Tibet.
How we take things for granted until we loose it ourselves. Anyway, not having a full net connection gives me time to finish and start to doing other things.
On another note, I’m digging the new Weezer song “Pork and Beans.” The video is so full of YouTube celebs, it’s funny. Like it or not. The internet is opening up new avenues of media and social networks for anyone to express themselves and be heard. Some might think that some internet celebs whom some say have no talent, don’t have anything important to say and don’t deserve the attention of the opportunities that have opened up to them. Well, I say who cares! You have the freedom of speech. Try living in Tibet or Burma and see what happens when you express your views. Oh, wait! Their governments don’t let them have internet access.
Born 19 June 1945 in Rangoon, is a pro-democracy activist and leader of the National League for Democracy in Burma, and a noted prisoner of conscience and advocate of nonviolent resistance. Aung San Suu Kyi was the third child in her family. Her name “Aung San” derives from her father, “Kyi” from her mother and “Suu” from her grandmother.[6] Suu Kyi won the Rafto Prize and the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought in 1990 and the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991. In 1992 she was awarded the Jawaharlal Nehru peace prize by the Government of India for her peaceful and non-violent struggle under a military dictatorship. She is currently under detention, with the Burmese junta repeatedly extending her detention. According to the results of the 1990 general election, Suu Kyi earned the right to be Prime Minister, as leader of the winning National League for Democracy party, but her detention by the military junta prevented her from assuming that role.

In this track, Radio LCF joins me as we chat about music, make music, me going to the Out Film CT festival, my car being in the shop, Apple computer talk and more.
The Connecticut Gay & Lesbian Out Film CT Festival started on May 30 and goes through June 7. Saturday, June 7 happens to be when the 2008 Connecticut PRIDE Rally and Festival is being held from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., in Hartford’s Elizabeth Park.
Yesterday, happen to be Puerto Rican Day and there was a parade and people in the streets all day and night. Kyle and I went to the film festival and they were screening the film Manuela & Manuel, by Puerto Rican director, Raul Marchand. I found the film to be quite enjoyable, campy and funny. It’s your typical story of Manuela a Drag Queen that longs for her ex-love, ends up in a situation where she has to act straight. “Manuela agrees to play Manuel, the fiancé of her best friend Coca-who is pregnant and must face her conservative family. Hidden identities and misunderstandings abound in this hilarious high-camp farce with tremendous heart.” It was a fun movie to watch and the audience was so into it. The only thing that I had issues with was with the ending that seemed to be typically a everyone get up on the Drag Queen stage, sing, dance and lives happily ever after kinda thing.
There were also 3 short films before the feature. One was Getting Lucky by Christian Lloyd who was in attendance to answer questions and give us his insight on the film. Anyway, if you are in CT check out the Out Film CT festival that is going on for the rest of the week! I hope to make it to other screenings
…tomorrow! On May 26th, 2008! I guess we’ll have to celebrate the second year of podcasting during the whole gay month of June -_^

P.S. I though Girl600 “Told you, we ain’t gonna stop (podcasting)!” And Radio LCF is voting for Girl600 for Madam President of The United States of America =D That would make me the First GayAsian, virtually-financed to an African American Female Podcaster, Presidential nominee . Try to say that 5 times fast. lol
My friend Carl e-mailed me about Michelle Maykin and her battle with cancer. She is of Chinese-Vietnamese decent and born in Texas but raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.
"26-year old Michelle Maykin was originally diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a cancer of the blood, on February 27, 2007. After undergoing 5 rounds of chemotherapy, Michelle reached a state of remission and slowly began to reclaim her life. She also dedicated herself to helping others by creating ProjectMichelle.com, a campaign focused on recruiting people to become potential bone marrow donors…
Michelle urgently needs our help in giving her a new chance at life. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy but needs to find a match by June 21st for a bone marrow transplant."
Carl joins me while I was sick and he was getting ready for Margret's Birthday party. Check Out dvAsian this Sunday, May 25th in NYC at NOWHERE.
Also in this track I catch you up on the good and bad stuff in my life and Michelle Maykin (www.ProjectMichelle.com) who needs a bone marrow match before June 21st, 2008.
My sweet friend, Karen Abad Loves Dinosaurs has shared a timelapse video showing the process of creating 15 panels. The idea was to make a journal representation of at least 15 of the vocabulary words from one of her courses.
Karen is also selling all 15 pieces so she can pay for two more years of grad school. There is only 1 panel left that can be purchased! So act fast!!!
