The battle for loves recognition has been limited in the state of Maine. As what happened in California the right for same-sex marriage has been affirmed by state law then later repealed by people with out empathy.

Again, I’ve been yanked …going backwards… I shall rise. Wipe dry my cheek and continue. I bear the tides. I see new states of boundaries, of mind and of heart shall be challenged. I went green and recycled the Halloween costume that I wore back in 2006. It seems that a lot more people have done the same. It might be due to the economic crisis or the lack of time to prepare for the holiday. Either way it was a scream of a good time :=

For the gayest holiday of the year. Why is October Gay History Month? Anyway, I went to my local gayborhood bar, Triangles. There was a costume contest, sights to scar the pants off you, plenty of thriller cocktails… One tale is of how a Green Lantern met a boy band member, an angle and a diva. The photo essay is available here. On another note, I am enjoying seeing my friends’ post Halloween photos and vids on Facebook :)

What is Halloween? I’ve come to think of Halloween is a basic holiday where we are supposed to confront our fears and have fun with them. It’s also an acknowledgment of change. In some parts of the world it’s a change of seasons. When the climate gets cooler and leaves become another color. Marking a end to Summer. Some call it the Fall, I like to call it Autumn.

Walking in the shoes of what is different from us. Is so “no homo“. I find it interesting that a lot of men dress-up as women. Are women the most feared thing in to world?.. Hence things that are considered feminine are considered “gay” (aka bad to some people)? Or is the not knowing, the mysterious, the unexplainable, the unimagined things that keep you up at night. Maybe what you fear might not be as scary as it truly is. It’s an exercise in overcoming and living with the things that make you go “Ahhhaaa!” Plus it’s fun to scar people some times. It’s a treat. Do you want proof? Well listen to Glenn Beck. All I got to say about Glenn Beck is that I know what he is against and I do not know what he is for. Some people might say if you don’t like his views then too bad for you. I like to think that in other words; some things for Glen Beck are TOO GOOD FOR HIM. Anyway, below is a vid that Nathan and I found mischievously hilarious. I have clicked on 0:29 seconds, replaying it over and over and over again. It makes me crack-up!.. It’s so good good to laugh and get over our selves. ahhha :D

The Haunted Graveyard at Lake Compounce is New England’s largest and scariest Halloween Event. The Graveyard was started by Ernie and Carol Romegialli in 1991 when their daughter was diagnosed with diabetes. To help their daughter from feeling left out from the Halloween candy they started a The Haunted Graveyard that also raised money for diabetes research.

Get tricked into having a scream of a time while still getting a treat by knowing it’s for a good cause… Hope to see you there… Who knows what Things you see in the Graveyard.

To date more than $600,000 has been donated to diabetes research, and this year portion of this year’s proceeds will benefit the American Diabetes Association. In addition, local schools and organizations have also received over $55,000 of the proceeds from the tickets sales.

The current US health care system sucks. It literally sucks the life and money out of people. My Mom was injured in a fall where she works. Breaking her wrist, suffered a mild concussion, broke her glasses and had a black eye. The Insurance company has been refusing to pay for physical therapy on body parts that were injured from the incident, such as her head, neck and shoulder. Even though doctors have repeatedly reported that they are caused by the indecent. The insurance company keeps saying that those injuries were not caused by the fall and they didn’t get the reports and prescriptions from the doctors saying they were. Well we know they did and even showed them the copies.

We have been going to court hearings for the past several months and the insurance company was ordered to pay for the needed treatment, yet the insurance company’s still denying it and canceling my Mom’s appointments with the therapists… WTF! Plus they have been sending a nurse manager to follow my Mom to her doctor appointments without written consent. When the court heard about this they has ordered the nurse manager be removed. But the nurse still popped up at my Mom’s appointment last week. What the hell is wrong with these people! Not only is it illegal but it’s harassment.

Don’t even get me started on how long and how many times we had to ask workman’s comp to send the reimbursement on the bills that she is owed and that we are still waiting for… Who needs this extra stress when they are already hurt. And my Mom only injured her self from a fall and the insurance company is making it so difficult. Thank goodness that nothing life threatening happened…

The nation has voted for a President based on a platform of change. Well that change is here and is being delivered to door. So open it and sign for that package… We all know what a pain it is when you miss a delivery and have to get it yourself. You got to find out where and when you can pick it up. Then you have to wait in line to get it… I’m basically saying support health reform now!

I asked my representatives to support President Barack Obama’s plan for health care reform in the United States of America. You can tell your members of Congress you want Health Reform HERE. It’s easy to do. Just fill in your name and info and a message will be sent to your local representatives. My e-mail conversation looked like this:

Please support President Obama’s plan for health reform in 2009. I was online and recently watched the Ptown Diaries, a new documentary by Joseph Mantegna. The documentary is about the rich history and diverse people of Provincetown. Narrated by Alan Cumming, I found that I fell even more in love with this small, yet hugely, progressive town where the footsteps of America’s freedom were first planted.

I always wanted to go to Comic Con, but haven’t been able to go for one reason or another. Either I was working or out of work or just didn’t have the time or money to travel. I have heard horrifying tales of packed crowds and hours of walking and waiting in lines for hours… But then there are stories of meeting great creative people and artists. Getting the real scoop on new and exiting projects and not to mention the occasional hot dude in costume. Hopefully I’ll be able to go to a Comic Con in 2010.
