The battle for loves recognition has been limited in the state of Maine. As what happened in California the right for same-sex marriage has been affirmed by state law then later repealed by people with out empathy.

Again, I’ve been yanked …going backwards… I shall rise. Wipe dry my cheek and continue. I bear the tides. I see new states of boundaries, of mind and of heart shall be challenged. New battles shall cross old fields. For it has been said that love is worth fighting for. For I am a human being and humbly thank those who’ve gone through unknown paths before me. Making each step a possibility to journey further and move closer to the promise. I am the first born son of Vietnamese immigrants who lived through the devastation of war. I am the first in my family to be born in the land of the free. I am the first in my family to be born a second class citizen in the home of the brave. Going Green For Halloween

I went green and recycled the Halloween costume that I wore back in 2006. It seems that a lot more people have done the same. It might be due to the economic crisis or the lack of time to prepare for the holiday. Either way it was a scream of a good time :=

For the gayest holiday of the year. Why is October Gay History Month? Anyway, I went to my local gayborhood bar, Triangles. There was a costume contest, sights to scar the pants off you, plenty of thriller cocktails… One tale is of how a Green Lantern met a boy band member, an angle and a diva. The photo essay is available here. On another note, I am enjoying seeing my friends’ post Halloween photos and vids on Facebook :)

What is Halloween? I’ve come to think of Halloween is a basic holiday where we are supposed to confront our fears and have fun with them. It’s also an acknowledgment of change. In some parts of the world it’s a change of seasons. When the climate gets cooler and leaves become another color. Marking a end to Summer. Some call it the Fall, I like to call it Autumn.

Walking in the shoes of what is different from us. Is so “no homo“. I find it interesting that a lot of men dress-up as women. Are women the most feared thing in to world?.. Hence things that are considered feminine are considered “gay” (aka bad to some people)? Or is the not knowing, the mysterious, the unexplainable, the unimagined things that keep you up at night. Maybe what you fear might not be as scary as it truly is. It’s an exercise in overcoming and living with the things that make you go “Ahhhaaa!” Plus it’s fun to scar people some times. It’s a treat. Do you want proof? Well listen to Glenn Beck. All I got to say about Glenn Beck is that I know what he is against and I do not know what he is for. Some people might say if you don’t like his views then too bad for you. I like to think that in other words; some things for Glen Beck are TOO GOOD FOR HIM. Anyway, below is a vid that Nathan and I found mischievously hilarious. I have clicked on 0:29 seconds, replaying it over and over and over again. It makes me crack-up!.. It’s so good good to laugh and get over our selves. ahhha :D

We were at the National Equality March in Washington DC, on October 11, 2009.

Thousands of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights supporters marched Sunday from the White House to the Capitol, demanding equal protection for LGBT people in all matters governed by civil law in all 50 states.

A Haunted Graveyard In Connecticut

The Haunted Graveyard at Lake Compounce is New England’s largest and scariest Halloween Event. The Graveyard was started by Ernie and Carol Romegialli in 1991 when their daughter was diagnosed with diabetes. To help their daughter from feeling left out from the Halloween candy they started a The Haunted Graveyard that also raised money for diabetes research.

Get tricked into having a scream of a time while still getting a treat by knowing it’s for a good cause… Hope to see you there… Who knows what Things you see in the Graveyard.

To date more than $600,000 has been donated to diabetes research, and this year portion of this year’s proceeds will benefit the American Diabetes Association. In addition, local schools and organizations have also received over $55,000 of the proceeds from the tickets sales.
