Matty!

Alright, VJ, I know its a chore to actually “read” but I don’t have your phone number. So you’ll just have to live with this.

Anyways, I love your long podcasts, don’t change them. They keep me entertained and I get to pretend that I have real friends for about an hour. However, I’m not sure how I feel about friends that make me listen to Billy Joel.

Getting back to your writing versus phone calls thing though, I do have to say that, while I enjoy a phone call, writing has a certain weight to it that phone calls don’t carry.

I like when friends and loved ones write me because, first of all, it tells me that they feel enough for me that they’ll sit down, take time out of there day, and compose something that articulates those feelings.

Also, writing has a certain permanency that phone calls just can’t emulate. Its a physical memory that you can go back and look on and recall feelings or experiences.

Matty, You are a friend :) And as a friend you sometimes got to take the good with the bad i.e. Billy Joel. Or you could just fast forward. lol

I agree with you about writing vs phone calls. They both have their pros and cons. When someone takes the time in their lives to write and compose something to you it does have more wait and meaning behind the words.

I was mainly talking about when is it more effective and efficient to call someone or write them. Or you can doe both. Like say I’m planing to get together with friends to go to the Gay Days at 6 Flags Great Adventure Amusement Park. Sure we might e-mail each other info about it, but who knows when they get to reading it and replying. So a quick call and chat help get everyone on the same page.

I’ll send you my phone number soon. Till then you can always leave a voice mail message on my site. I know you have a microphone . hehehe. That way we can have a physical audio memory of your sweet voice so we can play back and recall those moments :D Because nobody has the voice and speaks the way that you do.

For example, it is one thing to read Martin Luther King, Jr.’s, ‘I Have a Dream’ speech. And quite a different more powerful thing to hear him deliver those word with his voice.
